You will never see yourself as others see you this is a fact
We all wish we could ,after all how ace would it be to just believe every guy or girl that tells you your cute or thinks your hot-without ever feeling the need to question their motives or generally question why they said it at all
I think we focus to much on what we are lacking whether its something physical about you or just that you feel you dont measure up to others
girls especially are terrible at taking compliments,im as bad as all the other girls-and i so wish that we could change the way that we are programmed so that for once we accept a compliment graciously,without this strong urge inside that compells us to add some comment after the compliment that puts us down
I know its not just girls that are like this- im just writing from a female perspective
we will never see what it is that others see in us,We spend too much time asking ourselves why our partners are with us and not the other pretty girl/hot boy walking down the street..This way of thinking only serves to make the way we see ourselves worse
When instead we should be telling ourselves the truth-that our partners/potential partners or people that find us attractive-like us for who we are including all our insecurities and the imperfections we see
No ulterior motives nothing like that
And i wish time after time that we could all just once...just one time believe the other person and step into their shoes and see what they see
To not see the flawed/inferior/unattractive person that we see reflected in the mirror- but the unique attractive smart funny person that they see when they look at you
Trouble is its hard to let your guard down to allow this to happen...but maybe one day we will all meet the one person that allows us to do it <3
